Classical Concerts in Paris

Experience Nobuyuki Tsujii live on November 11th

Nobuyuki Tsujii, a Japanese pianist renowned for his deeply expressive and technically brilliant performances, will appear in concert at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris on November 11, 2026. Tsujii’s style is characterized by a Romantic sensibility, often featuring nuanced phrasing and a powerful dynamic range. He performs a broad repertoire spanning from classical masters like Chopin and Liszt to contemporary composers, and is known for his interpretations of Rachmaninoff. Notably, Tsujii was born blind and has achieved international acclaim despite this challenge, winning the Gold Medal at the 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.

The Théâtre des Champs-Elysées holds a significant place in Parisian cultural history. Opened in 1913, it was conceived as a venue dedicated to modern art forms – opera, ballet, drama, and concerts – in contrast to the more traditional offerings of established institutions like the Opéra Garnier. Its architecture, designed by Roger Séjourné with contributions from artists like Maurice Denis and Édouard Vuillard, reflects Art Deco influences.
