Nobuyuki Tsujii is a Japanese pianist recognized for his deeply expressive and technically brilliant performances, despite being born blind. His repertoire spans a wide range, encompassing classical composers from Chopin and Rachmaninoff to more contemporary works. Tsujii’s playing is often described as possessing a poetic quality, characterized by nuanced phrasing and a powerful emotional connection to the music. He gained international acclaim after winning the gold medal at the 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.
