His music blends classic Chicago blues sounds – heavily influenced by artists like Buddy Guy and Little Walter – with elements of soul and rock, often featuring strong horn arrangements and a driving rhythm section. He has released numerous albums throughout his career, earning recognition for his guitar playing and songwriting.

The Iridium Jazz Club, located in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan, has been a prominent venue for jazz and blues music since its opening in 1991. Founded by Judy Backlin, it quickly gained a reputation for hosting both established legends and emerging artists. The club is particularly noted for its intimate setting and excellent acoustics. Les Paul, the renowned guitarist and innovator, was a frequent performer at the Iridium and had a dedicated space named after him within the club – “Les Paul’s Corner” – where he regularly held jam sessions until his death in 2009.
