Experience New York Philharmonic live on October 10th

The New York Philharmonic will perform at the Philharmonie de Paris on October 10, 2026. The New York Philharmonic is internationally renowned for its interpretations of standard orchestral repertoire and commitment to contemporary music. Founded in 1842, the orchestra has a long history of commissioning works from leading composers and pioneering initiatives in concert programming and digital access. Its sound is generally characterized by a rich, powerful tone and a focus on clarity and precision, evolving through various musical directors over its nearly two-century existence.

The Philharmonie de Paris, inaugurated in January 2015, is a major concert venue designed by Jean Nouvel. It is part of a larger park complex, the Parc de la Villette, located in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. The main hall, *Grande Salle*, is notable for its modular design allowing adjustments to acoustics based on the performance type – ranging from symphonic to amplified music. The complex also houses smaller performance spaces and exhibition areas dedicated to music. It aims to be a national institution promoting musical discovery and accessibility, hosting a wide range of classical, contemporary and popular music events alongside educational programs.
