New Cool Collective will perform at Hedon in Zwolle, Netherlands on January 22, 2027. The band is a Dutch ensemble known for its distinctive blend of jazz, funk, soul, and hip-hop influences, often described as “nu-jazz.” Formed in the early 1990s, they gained prominence for revitalizing instrumental jazz with a contemporary edge, incorporating elements of breakbeats and electronic music production alongside traditional instrumentation. Their sound frequently features strong horn sections and improvisation.

Hedon is a well-established music venue located in the former gas factory complex of Zwolle. Originally opened in 1986, it has become a significant cultural hub within the city and the wider region of Overijssel. The venue is recognised for its intimate atmosphere and diverse programming encompassing a broad range of musical genres including jazz, rock, pop, world music and electronic music. Hedon operates across multiple spaces within the converted industrial building; offering both larger concert halls and smaller more intimate club spaces. It regularly hosts both established artists and emerging talent. The building itself is noted for its industrial architectural features retained from its previous use.
