Nearly Dead is a jam band rooted in improvisational rock, blending elements of funk, psychedelic rock, and progressive influences. They have built a following through consistent touring and self-released albums since forming in the early 2010s.

Rocky Mount Mills, the venue for the July 31st, 2026 concert, holds significant historical importance to Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Originally established in 1818 as a cotton mill, it was one of the first fully integrated textile mills in the United States – meaning all stages of production, from fiber to finished cloth, occurred on-site. Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, the mills were central to the town’s economy and community life.

Following periods of decline and eventual closure of textile operations, Rocky Mount Mills underwent extensive redevelopment starting in the early 2000s. It has been transformed into a mixed-use space incorporating residential apartments, retail businesses, restaurants and event spaces while preserving much of its original industrial architecture.
