NDR Bigband is a German big band renowned for its diverse repertoire spanning jazz, swing, funk, and contemporary compositions. Established in 1948, it’s one of Germany’s leading professional big bands, affiliated with Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR), the public broadcaster for Northern Germany.

The concert will take place at the Ndr Landesfunkhaus Hannover, a significant broadcasting center and architectural landmark in Hanover. Completed in 1954, the building represents post-war reconstruction and modernist design principles. Originally constructed to house radio studios and administrative offices for NDR, it has evolved to include concert halls and event spaces open to the public. The Landesfunkhaus Hannover is notable for its acoustics and its role in broadcasting cultural programming throughout the region.

The building underwent extensive renovation between 2017-2023 to modernize facilities while preserving its historical character. It continues to serve as a central hub for NDR’s regional broadcasting activities alongside functioning as a venue for musical performances like this upcoming NDR Bigband concert.
