Navy Blue, the artist known for blending lo-fi hip-hop, jazz-influenced instrumentation, and introspective lyricism, is scheduled to perform at 1357 N Elston Ave, Chicago, on August 30, 2026. His work often incorporates elements of spoken word and explores themes of personal reflection, community, and social observation. He gained prominence through self-released projects and has collaborated with artists across a spectrum of genres including Knxwledge and Pink Siifu.

The venue at 1357 N Elston Avenue is currently known as The Salt Shed. Originally constructed in 1924 as a Morton Salt distribution warehouse, the building served its industrial purpose for nearly a century. It underwent significant renovations beginning in 2022 to transform it into a dedicated live music venue. The renovation preserved much of the original industrial aesthetic, including exposed brick and high ceilings while adding modern sound and lighting systems. The Salt Shed officially opened in February 2023 and has since become a prominent space for national and international touring acts focusing on indie rock, alternative, and electronic music alongside hip-hop performances.
