Experience Nathanaël Iselin live on September 20th
Nathanaël Iselin will perform at Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik, Iceland on September 20, 2026. Iselin is a French composer and pianist whose work frequently explores the intersection of contemporary classical music with elements of jazz improvisation and spectralism. His compositions are often characterized by intricate textures, extended techniques on the piano, and a focus on subtle harmonic shifts and timbral exploration. He often works with prepared piano and electronic processing to expand the instrument’s sonic possibilities.
Harpa Concert Hall, opened in 2011, is a landmark building in Reykjavik and Iceland’s largest concert and conference centre. Eldborg – Main Hall, where Iselin will perform, is its largest venue, boasting a seating capacity of approximately 1,800. The hall’s design is notable for its geometrically-faceted glass facade inspired by basalt columns – a common geological feature in Iceland – and intended to reflect the Northern Lights.
Eldborg's acoustics were designed by Artec Consultants Inc., aiming for a balance between volume and intimacy suitable for a wide range of musical performances including orchestral concerts, choral works, and solo recitals.
