Nate Najar is a guitarist and composer recognized for his distinctive style rooted in the tradition of Gypsy jazz, blended with influences from bebop, flamenco, and Middle Eastern music. His performances often feature intricate fingerstyle guitar work, rapid-fire improvisation, and a vibrant energy derived from these diverse musical sources. He frequently performs both as a solo artist and with his ensemble, the Nate Najar Trio.

The Jazz Loft is a long-standing venue dedicated to the preservation and performance of jazz music located in Stony Brook, New York. Established in 1968 by Tom & Elaine Harter, it originally functioned as a hub for both established and emerging jazz musicians, offering a space for intimate concerts and jam sessions. Following a period of closure, The Jazz Loft was revitalized in 2014 through the efforts of the Stony Brook University community and now operates as a program within the university’s Center for Inclusive Education.

The venue continues to host a variety of jazz performances, workshops, and educational programs aimed at fostering appreciation for the art form. It maintains a focus on supporting live jazz while honoring its historical significance within the local music scene and beyond.
