Música Temprana, a Spanish ensemble dedicated to the performance of early music, will present a concert at Muziekgebouw Amsterdam on December 11, 2026. The group specializes in reconstructing and performing music from the Iberian Peninsula between the 12th and 17th centuries, focusing particularly on the vocal and instrumental traditions of medieval and Renaissance Spain and Portugal. Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, opened in 2005, is a prominent concert hall specifically designed for contemporary and new music, though it also hosts performances across a wide range of genres including early music. Situated within the Amsterdam International Arts Centre – alongside the Concertgebouw – it offers a contrasting architectural aesthetic with its modern glass construction. The hall boasts two primary spaces: the Grote Zaal (Great Hall), known for its exceptional acoustics, and the Kleine Zaal (Small Hall), which provides a more intimate setting.
