Murubutu, the Italian musical project led by Gianluca Bianco, will perform at Blue Note Milan on October 15, 2026. Murubutu’s music is characterized by a blend of electronic soundscapes, often incorporating elements of ambient, downtempo, and jazz, with spoken word passages and field recordings. Their work frequently explores themes of urban life, memory, and the Italian landscape. The project has released several albums on labels like Schema Records and consistently tours throughout Europe.
Blue Note Milan is a renowned jazz club established in 1960 by Piero Marinelli and Giorgio Vanni. Originally conceived as a space mirroring the famous Blue Note club in New York City, it quickly became a central hub for Italian and international jazz musicians. Over its history, the venue has hosted performances by numerous jazz legends including Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, and many others.
Following a period of closure and renovation in the early 2000s, Blue Note Milan reopened with a modernized sound system and expanded capacity while maintaining its intimate atmosphere. It continues to feature a diverse program encompassing jazz in all its forms alongside related genres like blues, soul and world music.
