Experience Munich Philharmonic Orchestra live on February 6th
The Munich Philharmonic Orchestra will perform at the Philharmonie de Paris on February 6, 2027. Renowned for its distinctive, richly layered sound and precision, the orchestra maintains a tradition of both faithful interpretation and innovative programming. Historically rooted in the late 19th-century traditions of German Romanticism, the orchestra’s style has evolved to encompass a broad repertoire spanning from Baroque to contemporary compositions, frequently commissioning new works. It is currently led by chief conductor Jakub Hrůša.
The Philharmonie de Paris, inaugurated in January 2015, serves as a major concert venue in the city. Designed by architect Jean Nouvel, it is notable for its modern architectural design and acoustic qualities. The complex comprises two primary halls: the Grande Salle Pierre Boulez, seating approximately 2,400 people and known for its adjustable acoustics; and smaller spaces dedicated to various musical activities including chamber music and educational programs. The venue aims to be accessible to diverse audiences and supports a wide range of musical genres beyond classical music. It represents a significant investment in France’s cultural infrastructure and commitment to performing arts.
