Their music blends traditional Ethiopian scales and instrumentation – often featuring instruments like the krar (lyre) and washint (flute) – with elements of jazz improvisation and contemporary production techniques. Beachland Ballroom Tavern is a historic music venue located in the Collinwood neighborhood of Cleveland. Originally opened in 1900 as a social hall for a Slovenian organization, it transitioned into a performance space hosting various acts throughout the 20th century. It gained prominence as a rock and roll venue in the 1990s, becoming known for its intimate setting and diverse bookings, showcasing both established artists and emerging talent.
