Monsieur Periné is a Colombian band known for blending Latin American rhythms – particularly cumbia, vallenato, and porro – with jazz influences, creating a unique sound often described as “tropical funk” or “Latin alternative.” Their music incorporates elements of swing, bossa nova, and chanson, delivered with sophisticated arrangements and Catalina García’s distinctive vocals. The group formed in Bogotá in 2012 and has since gained international recognition, performing at major festivals and releasing several critically acclaimed albums.

White Oak Music Hall is a multi-room live music venue located in Houston’s Near Northside neighborhood. Opened in 2016, the venue features both indoor and outdoor stages. The complex includes three distinct performance spaces: the large outdoor stage known as the Lawn, a mid-sized indoor stage called the Music Hall, and a smaller, more intimate space referred to as the Studio.
