Molly Tuttle is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for her innovative approach to bluegrass and Americana music. Her style blends traditional acoustic instrumentation – primarily guitar, but also banjo – with elements of folk, indie rock, and progressive songwriting. She’s recognized for her intricate guitar playing, often described as flatpicking influenced by artists like Doc Watson, combined with emotionally resonant vocals and lyrical content that explores themes of vulnerability and resilience. Tuttle gained prominence after winning the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Guitar Player of the Year award in 2017, being the first woman to achieve this recognition. She has released several critically acclaimed albums including “When You Pass By” (2019) and “Crooked Tree” (2022).
