Experience Misha Mullov-Abbado live on July 4th

Misha Mullov-Abbado presents a concert at the Pittville Pump Room in Cheltenham on July 4th, 2026. Mullov-Abbado is a British-Russian bassist and composer known for his distinctive blend of jazz improvisation with elements of Eastern European folk music and contemporary classical composition. His work often features intricate arrangements and explores themes of cultural identity and personal narrative, frequently incorporating influences from his Russian heritage. He leads various ensembles, typically featuring piano, drums, and often saxophone or other wind instruments, creating a sound that is both sophisticated and emotionally resonant.

The Pittville Pump Room is a Grade I listed building completed in 1838, designed by architect John Buonaparte Papworth. Originally built as a spa complex during the Regency era, it represented the height of fashionable spa architecture. The building’s purpose was to provide Cheltenham residents and visitors with access to the town’s famed mineral waters, believed to have restorative properties. While no longer functioning as a spa, the Pump Room now serves as a multi-purpose arts venue hosting concerts, exhibitions, and events.
