Marius Neset, a Norwegian saxophonist and composer, will perform at Bechersaal in Bayreuth on November 12, 2026. Bechersaal is a renowned concert hall located within the New Palace (Neues Schloss) in Bayreuth, Germany. Originally constructed as a banqueting hall between 1749 and 1753 under the direction of Joseph Gabriel Christian von Preysing, it was later repurposed for musical performances during the reign of Margravine Wilhelmine von Bayreuth, a significant patron of the arts. The hall’s acoustics are highly regarded, contributing to its reputation as an ideal venue for chamber music and solo recitals. Throughout its history, Bechersaal has hosted performances by numerous internationally acclaimed musicians and ensembles.
