Patronatskirche Schulzendorf is a historic church building dating back to the 13th century. Originally a Romanesque chapel connected to the nearby manor, it underwent significant alterations in the fieldstone style during the 15th century. The church served as a patronal church – meaning it was maintained by and for the benefit of the local estate owners – for centuries. Following periods of disuse and structural challenges in the 20th century, extensive restoration work was undertaken between 2017 and 2019 to preserve its architectural heritage. The interior features a relatively simple design reflecting its rural origins, with notable surviving medieval elements including parts of the original stonework and some historical furnishings. It is currently used for occasional concerts and community events alongside religious services.
