Experience Marie Jacquot live on June 2nd
Marie Jacquot, a French composer and pianist known for her immersive and often theatrical approach to contemporary classical music, will perform at the Isarphilharmonie in Munich on June 2nd, 2027. Her compositions frequently blend acoustic instruments with electronic elements and spatialized sound, creating richly textured and emotionally resonant experiences. Jacquot’s work explores themes of memory, perception, and the relationship between sound and space; she often incorporates visual components into her performances.
The Isarphilharmonie, inaugurated in 1903 as the Deutsches Museum’s lecture hall, has a significant history as a performance venue. Originally designed by Hans von Koller, it underwent extensive renovation and modernization between 2018 and 2021 led by architects Staab Architekten. While primarily serving as a concert hall for the Munich Philharmonic – particularly during periods when the Philharmonie am Gasteig is unavailable – it also hosts a variety of other musical events. The hall is recognized for its excellent acoustics and intimate atmosphere, seating approximately 580 people. Its architectural style blends historical elements with contemporary design following the renovations, making it a notable cultural landmark within Munich.
