Marialy Pacheco is a Cuban-born pianist and composer whose music blends elements of jazz, classical, and traditional Cuban rhythms. Her style is characterized by virtuosic piano playing, complex harmonic structures, and a dynamic interplay between improvisation and composed sections. Pacheco often incorporates Afro-Cuban percussion and vocal elements into her work, creating a sound that is both sophisticated and deeply rooted in her heritage. She gained international recognition after relocating to Germany and studying at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München.

The Alte Oper Frankfurt (Old Opera) is a significant cultural institution in Germany with a rich history. Originally opened in 1880, it served as Frankfurt’s principal opera house until its severe damage during Allied bombing raids in World War II. Rather than being fully rebuilt to its original Baroque Revival style, a conscious decision was made to preserve the ruin as a powerful symbol of the war's destruction.

Following extensive restoration work, the Alte Oper reopened in 1981 as a multi-purpose venue hosting opera, ballet, concerts, and other performing arts events. It’s known for its exceptional acoustics and its unique architectural blend of historical remnants and modern design.
