Experience María Dueñas live on October 6th
María Dueñas will perform at the Teatro Solís in Montevideo, Uruguay on October 6, 2026. Dueñas is a Spanish singer-songwriter known for her contemporary flamenco fusion. Her music blends traditional flamenco elements – palmas, rhythmic guitar, and emotive vocals – with influences from jazz, bossa nova, and Latin American rhythms. Lyrically, her compositions often explore themes of love, loss, and personal reflection, delivered with a distinctive vocal style characterized by both power and vulnerability.
The Teatro Solís is Uruguay’s oldest and most prestigious theatre. Originally conceived in the mid-19th century as a symbol of Montevideo’s growing prosperity and cultural ambition, construction began in 1856 but faced numerous delays due to political instability and financial constraints. The theatre officially opened in 1856, though significant renovations continued into the early 20th century, including substantial work led by Italian architect Carlo Zucchi. Throughout its history it has hosted a diverse range of performances including opera, ballet, theatre productions and musical concerts.
