Grieg Hall (Grieghallen) is Bergen’s main concert hall and a significant cultural institution. Opened in 1978, it was designed by architectsus Øivind Solheim and named in honour of composer Edvard Grieg, who was born in Bergen. The hall’s main auditorium, Griegsalen, is renowned for its acoustics and hosts a wide range of performances including orchestral concerts, chamber music, opera, ballet and contemporary music events. It serves as the home venue for the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra.
