The Teatro Poliziano occupies a historically significant building in Montepulciano, originally constructed in 1910 as the Teatro dei Congressi. It was subsequently renamed in honour of the Renaissance humanist and poet Angelo Poliziano, born in Montepulciano in 1454. The theatre underwent substantial renovation and reopening in 2023 after a period of closure for restoration work.
