Palác Akropolis is a multi-purpose cultural center housed within a former Art Deco cinema building. Originally opened in 1954 as the Kino Akropolis, it served as a significant venue for film screenings during the communist era in Czechoslovakia. Following its closure in the 1990s, the building underwent extensive renovations and reopened as Palác Akropolis in 2003. Today it functions as a concert venue hosting both established and emerging artists across various musical genres; it also includes theaters, galleries and a café/restaurant.
