The Mahler Chamber Orchestra will perform at the Philharmonie de Paris on June 14, 2027. This orchestra, founded in 1997, is renowned for its historically informed performance practice combined with a flexible and dynamic approach to repertoire. While named after Gustav Mahler, their programming extends far beyond his works, encompassing a broad range of classical and contemporary compositions. The ensemble is characterized by its collaborative spirit and lack of a fixed principal conductor, often working with leading soloists and conductors for each project.

The Philharmonie de Paris, inaugurated in January 2015, is a major concert venue located in the Parc de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. Designed by architect Jean Nouvel, it’s notable for its modern architectural features including its "cloud" of reflective metal panels and exceptional acoustics. The complex comprises two main halls: the Grande Salle Pierre Boulez – seating approximately 2,400 – and a smaller, more intimate chamber music hall. It aims to be a comprehensive center for music education and performance, housing a museum dedicated to musical instruments as well as rehearsal spaces and educational facilities.
