The Danish act, formed in 2011, creates music generally categorized as darkwave, minimal synth-pop, and post-punk. Their sound incorporates elements of coldwave and often features melancholic vocals alongside atmospheric synthesizers and driving drum machine rhythms. Throughout their discography, themes of longing, isolation, and romanticism are frequently explored. They have released albums on labels including Sacred Bones Records and Minimal Wave Records.

The Cause is a nightclub and event space located in an industrial railway arch in Tottenham. Established in 2018, it quickly gained recognition within London’s electronic music scene for its commitment to underground sounds and a strong focus on community. Known for its high-quality sound system and dedication to showcasing diverse genres – primarily house, techno, electro and experimental electronic music – The Cause operates with a strict door policy prioritizing inclusivity and safety. The venue has hosted numerous internationally renowned DJs and live acts since its inception and is known for its warehouse aesthetic and intimate atmosphere. It previously operated at a different location in Hackney Wick before relocating to its current site.
