The Center For Culture And The Arts “Ada Sari” is a significant cultural institution in the Stary Sącz municipality, named after the renowned Polish coloratura soprano Ada Sari (1886-1963). Originally established as a sanatorium where Ada Sari recovered from tuberculosis in the early 20th century, the building was gifted to the town by her husband in 1938 with the stipulation it be used for cultural purposes. Following periods of varied use including wartime service as a hospital and later as administrative offices, it was extensively renovated and reopened as a dedicated cultural center in 2017.
