The Lucerne Festival Orchestra will perform at the Culture and Congress Centre Lucerne (KKL) Concert Hall on August 25, 2026. It is characterized by a flexible composition – assembled anew each year specifically for the Lucerne Festival – drawing musicians from leading international orchestras. The KKL Concert Hall, opened in 1998, is a landmark building designed by Jean Nouvel. Its architecture is notable for its integration with the surrounding landscape of Lake Lucerne and the Swiss Alps. The concert hall itself is celebrated for its acoustics, achieved through a complex design featuring a wooden shoe-box shape and adjustable acoustic elements. It quickly gained international recognition as one of the world’s finest concert venues following its opening, hosting performances by numerous prestigious orchestras and soloists.
