The Louisville Orchestra will perform at The Kentucky Center in Louisville, Kentucky on April 24, 2027. The Louisville Orchestra is a fully professional orchestra with a history spanning over seven decades, known for its commitment to both standard orchestral repertoire and contemporary works. Historically, the orchestra has been recognized for commissioning and premiering pieces by American composers, earning a Grammy Award for its recordings of music by Frederick Delius. Its musical style encompasses a broad range, from Baroque and Classical periods to Romantic and 20th/21st-century compositions.

The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, where the concert will take place, opened in 1983 following a substantial public and private fundraising effort. It serves as the largest performing arts center in Kentucky and is home to several resident companies including the Louisville Orchestra, Kentucky Opera, and the Louisville Ballet. Designed by architects SOM (Skidmore, Owings & Merrill), the Center features multiple performance spaces including Whitney Hall – the primary venue for orchestral performances – as well as Bomhard Theater and other flexible spaces. The building’s design incorporates significant public art installations and aims to provide accessible arts experiences for the community.
