The Louisville Orchestra will perform at The Kentucky Center in Louisville, United States on March 5, 2027. The Louisville Orchestra, founded in 1934, is Kentucky’s premier professional orchestra. Its repertoire spans a broad range, encompassing standard orchestral works from the Baroque period through the 21st century, with a noted history of commissioning and performing new music – particularly during the tenure of Theodore Antonioli who led numerous world premieres. The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, where the performance will take place, opened in 1983 and serves as a multi-disciplinary arts venue. It comprises several performance spaces including Whitney Hall (formerly known as Center Stage), Bomhard Theater, and Studio 1. Designed by J. Max Bond Jr., the building’s architecture incorporates both modern and classical elements and was intended to revitalize Louisville’s downtown area.
