Experience Los Angeles Philharmonic live on February 27th
The Los Angeles Philharmonic will perform at Walt Disney Concert Hall on February 27, 2027. The orchestra is internationally renowned for its commitment to both traditional orchestral repertoire and contemporary music, frequently commissioning new works and championing diverse voices. Historically, the LA Phil has been associated with conductors like Gustav Mahler (who led early performances in 1907) and more recently, Esa-Pekka Salonen and Gustavo Dudamel, each shaping the orchestra’s distinctive sound and programming.
Walt Disney Concert Hall, which opened in October 2003, serves as the home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Los Angeles Master Chorale. Designed by architect Frank Gehry, it is celebrated for its striking stainless steel exterior and its exceptional acoustics, achieved through the work of acoustician Yasuhisa Toyota. The hall’s interior features a vineyard-style seating arrangement, placing the audience closer to the performers. Construction was part of a larger Grand Avenue redevelopment project aimed at revitalizing downtown Los Angeles’ cultural corridor. The hall's design intentionally integrates art throughout, including a rose window created by artist Robert Wilson and an organ designed in collaboration with organist John Scott.
