Experience Los Angeles Philharmonic live on July 16th
The Los Angeles Philharmonic will perform at Walt Disney Concert Hall on July 16, 2026. The orchestra is internationally renowned for its adventurous programming and commitment to contemporary music alongside standard orchestral repertoire. While performing works from across the classical canon, the Philharmonic frequently commissions new pieces and champions 20th and 21st-century composers, often incorporating multimedia elements into their presentations. Historically, the orchestra has been associated with conductors like Gustavo Dudamel, furthering its profile for innovative and accessible performances.
Walt Disney Concert Hall, which opened in October 2003, is the home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Los Angeles Master Chorale. Designed by architect Frank Gehry, it is celebrated for its striking exterior of stainless steel curves and its acoustically superior interior. The hall’s acoustics were a primary focus during design, overseen by Yasuhisa Toyota, and are considered among the best in the world for orchestral performance. The building itself replaced the Philharmonic’s previous home at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and represents a significant investment in Los Angeles’ cultural landscape. Its construction was partially funded by a substantial donation from Lillian Disney, Walt Disney's widow, hence the name.
