Londinium is a British ensemble specializing in the historically informed performance of medieval music, particularly focusing on polyphony from the 12th to 15th centuries. The concert will take place at Église Saint-Jacques-Le-Mineur in Liège, Belgium on July 25th, 2026. This church holds significant historical importance within the city. Originally constructed in the 11th century, it’s one of Liège’s oldest parish churches, built on the site of earlier religious foundations dating back to Merovingian times. The current Gothic structure largely dates from the 15th and 16th centuries, showcasing Flamboyant Gothic architectural elements. It's dedicated to Saint James the Lesser, and historically served as a collegiate church with a substantial chapter of canons. The building underwent significant restoration in the 19th and 20th centuries, preserving its historical fabric while addressing structural concerns.
