LMZG, the musical project of German artist Lorenz Montecinos, is scheduled to perform in Potsdam, Germany on August 28, 2026. LMZG’s music blends elements of electronic music, particularly techno and house, with influences from jazz and improvisation. His sound is often characterized by complex rhythms, atmospheric textures, and a focus on live performance utilizing both electronic instruments and acoustic elements. Montecinos frequently incorporates field recordings and found sounds into his compositions, creating a distinctive sonic landscape.

Potsdam, located just southwest of Berlin, holds significant historical importance as the former royal residence of the Prussian kings and German emperors. The city’s architectural heritage is dominated by structures built during the 18th and 19th centuries, most notably Sanssouci Palace, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Frederick the Great commissioned Sanssouci as a summer palace inspired by the Rococo style. Throughout its history, Potsdam has been a center for political decision-making and cultural development within Germany. Following extensive damage during World War II, much of the historic city center has been carefully reconstructed.
