The Hollywood Bowl is an iconic outdoor amphitheater known for its distinctive shell-shaped stage. Opened in 1922, it's the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and hosts a diverse range of musical performances, including classical, jazz, and popular music concerts. Situated in the Hollywood Hills, the venue has a capacity of nearly 18,000 and is famed for its relaxed atmosphere where audiences often picnic on the lawn during performances. Over its history, the Bowl has hosted countless legendary artists and become a significant cultural landmark in Southern California. The current shell is actually its fourth iteration, designed by Lloyd Wright (son of Frank Lloyd Wright) and completed in 1929; it was subsequently renovated several times.
