Schlosstheater Celle is a historic theatre located in Celle, Lower Saxony, Germany. Originally built in 1792 under Duke Franz Wilhelm of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, it is one of the oldest still-functioning theatres in Germany retaining much of its original Baroque architecture. The theatre underwent several renovations throughout the 19th and 20th centuries but consistently maintained its historical character. It primarily hosts theatrical productions – plays, operas and ballets – but also serves as a venue for concerts and other performing arts events. The theatre's intimate setting and well-preserved design contribute to its distinctive atmosphere. It is owned by the city of Celle and operates as a municipal theatre offering a diverse program of cultural events.
