The Castello Volante Di Corigliano D'Otranto is a 16th-century fortress located in the town of Corigliano d’Otranto, in the province of Lecce, Puglia, Italy. Originally built to defend against Ottoman raids along the Adriatic coast, it was commissioned by the noble family Filomarino. The castle’s name, “Flying Castle,” derives from its prominent position overlooking the surrounding landscape and the impression of lightness given by its architectural features.

Throughout its history, the Castello Volante has undergone various modifications and served different purposes. It currently functions as a cultural venue hosting events such as exhibitions, concerts and theatrical performances. The structure retains significant historical architectural elements including its original walls, towers and internal courtyard offering a unique setting for cultural experiences.
