Lang Lang is scheduled to perform at the Gaillard Center in Charleston, South Carolina on September 28, 2026. He is internationally recognized as one of the leading classical pianists of his generation. The Gaillard Center, which opened in 2015, serves as Charleston’s premier performing arts venue. It replaced the original Gaillard Auditorium, built in 1938, which had become structurally deficient. The current building is a multi-purpose facility designed to accommodate a variety of events including orchestral performances, Broadway shows, concerts across multiple genres, and civic functions. The center’s Martha & John M. Rivers Performance Hall boasts excellent acoustics and a seating capacity of approximately 1,800. It's construction involved significant public and private funding and aimed to revitalize Charleston’s cultural landscape by providing a state-of-the-art performance space.
