Landespolizeiorchester Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the state police orchestra of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, will perform at Kulturforum Historisches U in Pasewalk on July 18, 2026. Kulturforum Historisches U is located within a historically significant building in Pasewalk. Originally constructed as a Prussian railway repair shop (“Eisenbahnwerkstätte”), the structure dates back to the late 19th century and reflects industrial architecture of that period. Designated as a technical cultural monument (“Technisches Kulturdenkmal”), it underwent extensive renovation in the early 2000s to transform it into a cultural center. The “U” in its name refers to its original function as a roundhouse for locomotive maintenance. Today, it serves as a venue for concerts, exhibitions, theatre performances and other cultural events, preserving both the building’s historical character and providing space for contemporary artistic expression.
