Kristin Korb is a US-born, Denmark-based drummer and composer known for her innovative and highly rhythmic music, often described as a blend of jazz, rock, and avant-garde elements. Her work frequently incorporates extended techniques, complex polyrhythms, and improvisation, showcasing both technical virtuosity and compositional depth. She leads several ensembles including her trio and the band ‘Korb’ and has collaborated with numerous international artists across diverse musical genres.

Musikhuset Aarhus opened in 1982 and is Aarhus’ primary concert hall and cultural centre. Designed by architects William Pedersen and Knud Holscher, the building is notable for its distinctive architecture featuring a large glass façade and multiple performance spaces. It serves as a key venue for a wide range of events including classical music concerts, opera performances, jazz festivals, contemporary dance, theatre productions, and conferences.

The venue houses four main halls: the Main Hall (Store Sal), the Chamber Hall (Lille Sal), the Workshop (Værkstedet) – focused on experimental music – and the Rytmisk Sal dedicated to rhythmic music.
