Experience Junge Münchner Philharmonie live on December 5th
Junge Münchner Philharmonie, the Young Munich Philharmonic, is an orchestra comprised of highly talented young musicians primarily aged 16-26. The ensemble focuses on a diverse repertoire spanning classical and contemporary works, often prioritizing projects that incorporate innovative performance formats and collaborations with artists from various disciplines. They are known for their energetic interpretations and commitment to fostering the next generation of orchestral musicians.
The concert will take place at Isarphilharmonie Im Gasteig Hp8 in Munich. This venue is part of the larger Gasteig cultural center, currently undergoing extensive renovation; Hp8 represents a temporary performance space established during this period. It’s located on Prinzregentenstraße and designed to maintain a high standard of acoustic quality despite being a provisional location. The original Gasteig, built in 1900, has long been a central hub for musical and cultural life in Munich, hosting a wide range of events including orchestral concerts, chamber music performances, and educational programs. Isarphilharmonie Im Gasteig Hp8 aims to continue this tradition during the main building’s reconstruction, offering a comparable concert experience within a modern, adaptable space. The hall accommodates approximately 500 attendees.
