Jumpin' Jacks is a Danish rockabilly and neo-rock 'n' roll band, known for their energetic live performances and a sound rooted in 1950s rock and roll, often incorporating elements of blues and country. The group has been active since the 1980s, building a dedicated following through numerous albums and extensive touring throughout Europe. Their music features prominent upright bass, twangy guitars, and vocal harmonies characteristic of the genre.
Rebild National Park, the venue for the concert, is located near Skørping in Northern Jutland, Denmark. Established in 1940, it is one of Denmark’s oldest national parks, encompassing approximately 56 square kilometers of heathland, forest, and valleys. The park is geologically notable for its moraine landscape formed during the last ice age. Rebild Bakker, a prominent feature within the park, consists of rolling hills covered in heather.
Historically, Rebild National Park holds significance as the site of annual Rebildfesten (Rebild Festival), a celebration of Danish-American friendship dating back to 1912. The festival historically attracted prominent figures from both countries and contributed to the park’s preservation.
