Joual is scheduled to perform at The Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia on June 28, 2026. The band creates a distinctive sound blending elements of hardcore punk, metallic hardcore, and post-metal. Their music is characterized by intense energy, complex instrumental arrangements, and often incorporates French-language vocals, reflecting the band’s Quebecois origins. Joual formed in 2016 and has since released several EPs and full-length albums, gaining recognition within the underground heavy music scene for their dynamic live performances and emotionally charged songwriting.

The Masquerade is a long-standing live music venue located in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward. Originally established in 1989, it quickly became a central hub for alternative and underground music culture. The venue comprises three distinct performance spaces – Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory – each offering a different atmosphere and capacity. Historically known for hosting a wide range of genres including rock, metal, punk, electronic, and hip-hop, The Masquerade has played host to numerous nationally and internationally touring acts as well as local Atlanta artists.
