John Jorgenson will be performing at the Clayton Center for the Arts in Maryville, Tennessee on September 15, 2026. Jorgenson is a highly regarded guitarist known for his mastery of multiple genres, prominently featuring Gypsy jazz, American swing, bluegrass, and classical guitar. He gained significant recognition as a member of the Hootenanny Players with Elton John during the 1990s and has since established a successful solo career alongside leading his own band, the John Jorgenson Quintet. His musical style is characterized by virtuosic technique, improvisational skill, and a blend of European and American musical traditions.

The Clayton Center for the Arts serves as Blount County’s premier performing arts venue. Opened in 2007, it’s located on the campus of Maryville College. The center houses the 1,000-seat Ronald and Lynda Roland Performance Hall designed to accommodate a variety of performances including concerts, theatrical productions, dance recitals and lectures. It also includes the smaller Harold and Jean Smith Gallery which hosts visual art exhibitions.
