Väven, the venue for the 2026-09-16 performance in Umeå, Sweden, is a significant cultural center housed within a former weaving factory – hence its name, translating to "the weave." Originally established in 1961 as a textile mill, it was a major employer in the region until its closure in 2001. Following extensive renovation and redevelopment completed in 2014, Väven reopened as a multi-functional space encompassing a concert hall, theatre, cinema, library, hotel and several restaurants. The concert hall specifically is designed to accommodate diverse performances and features excellent acoustics.
