Joe Lovano, a highly acclaimed American jazz saxophonist and composer, is scheduled to perform at Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana, Slovenia on November 2nd, 2026. Cankarjev dom (Cankar Hall) is Ljubljana's largest cultural and congress centre. Opened in 1900, it holds significant historical and architectural importance for Slovenia. Originally conceived as a meeting place for various societies and organizations promoting Slovenian culture and identity during a period of Austro-Hungarian rule, it has since become a central venue for performing arts including music, theatre, ballet, opera and conferences. The building underwent extensive renovations completed in 2011 which modernized its facilities while preserving its original architectural features.
