Joe Hisaishi’s music is characterized by its melodic richness, incorporating elements of classical, minimalist, and world music traditions. He is globally renowned for his long-standing collaborative work with Studio Ghibli, composing scores for nearly all of Hayao Miyazaki’s animated films, including *Spirited Away*, *Princess Mononoke*, and *My Neighbor Totoro*. Jones Hall for the Performing Arts in Houston, Texas, opened in 1966. Designed by architect C.
