Joe Hisaishi’s performance is scheduled for April 2nd, 2027, at Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik, Iceland. Hisaishi is a prominent Japanese composer, arranger and conductor best known for his long-standing collaborative work with Studio Ghibli, particularly with director Hayao Miyazaki. His musical style blends orchestral arrangements with elements of minimalist piano compositions, often incorporating Celtic and world music influences. Eldborg – Main Hall, the venue for the Hisaishi concert, is its largest auditorium seating 1,800 people. Its design is inspired by the basalt columns of Svartifoss waterfall and incorporates a striking glass façade designed to reflect the city’s harbour and sky.
