Jazzrausch Bigband will perform at the Konzerthaus Wien on December 9, 2026. The ensemble is known for its energetic and highly dynamic approach to big band jazz, blending traditional arrangements with elements of funk, rock, and electronic music. Their performances frequently incorporate improvisation and a strong emphasis on rhythmic complexity, often described as “chamber jazz-core.” The band, founded in Berlin in 2004, has gained international recognition for its innovative sound and captivating stage presence.

Konzerthaus Wien opened in 1913 and is a prominent concert hall in Vienna, Austria. Designed by architect Alexander Graf, it was conceived as a modern alternative to the more formal Musikverein. Unlike the Musikverein’s focus on orchestral tradition, the Konzerthaus was intended to be more accessible and host a wider range of musical genres including chamber music, song recitals, jazz and contemporary compositions. The main hall, known for its excellent acoustics and horseshoe-shaped design inspired by the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, provides an intimate setting for performances. Throughout its history it has hosted many internationally renowned musicians and continues to be a central venue for musical life in Vienna.
